Neighborhood Plans

Situated within 125 acres, Sewanee Close is a conservation subdivision characterized by common preserved space and clustered compact lots.

In this way, 100 acres remain undeveloped, and fragile natural resources are protected forever while allowing a residential community to thrive in a complementary and less invasive manner. Residents have complete access to nature paths and unique natural features that can enrich their lives and their imaginations.

Sewanee Close consists of two residential clusters with 24 homes and a common house in each cluster. These communities are connected with a pedestrian walkway, have 3 village greens per community, and the road is on the perimeter of the houses allowing safe and carefree play within the neighborhoods. Front porches provide opportunities for social interaction, while secluded gardens and yards fulfill our need for privacy. The planning of the houses and greens create layers of privacy to accommodate our social and introspective needs. The houses will be either LEED certified or Earthcraft certified. This certification verifies the house is built to rigorous sustainable standards focusing on energy and water conservation, green building products, and environmentally sensitive site development. The pedestrian areas and the houses will all be built to Aging in Place standards allowing wheel chair access.
